Upon entering kindergarten through 3rd grade, students are exposed to the arts with opportunities in music, dance, and the visual arts. In 4th and 5th grade, students delve deeper for focused learning within an art form. The pinnacle is 6-8th grade, when students have Art Block and select an art form to build their skills and prepare a portfolio. Many visual/digital art SRCSA students use their completed portfolio to apply to ArtQuest, Santa Rosa High School’s award winning arts program. The portfolio is a key component of the ArtQuest application process.

Despite budgetary challenges, Santa Rosa Charter School for the Arts continues to strengthen our arts program to benefit all students. Recent achievements include:

In addition to the school’s core arts offering, we have a robust Odyssey of the Mind program that provides students with the opportunity to form teams and participate in a creative problem solving competition. In one notable year, 20% of SRCSA students participated in the program!
